Edward Tripp presents

Edward Tripp: No Man is an Ireland

Just the Tonic at The Caves, Just Up the Stairs

	Dates: 1 - 25 Aug (not 12)

	Time: 11:45am (45 mins)

	First review date: 3 August
Introducing the former Bard of Exeter…

Edward Tripp - the former Bard of Exeter - makes his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut this August with a brand new comedy-poetry show, Edward Tripp: No Man is an Ireland.

Coming to Edinburgh on his Auntie’s dime, Edward Tripp brings his dark, brooding, and frankly furious brand of ‘stand-up poetry’ to this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Devon-based Northern Irishman, who has supported the likes of Rob Auton and Hollie McNish, is desperate to be taken seriously as a poet. To do so he plans to connect with those few [sic] people who find they switch off at poetry recitals and spoken word nights.

In this brand new show - Edward Tripp: No Man is an Ireland - Tripp turns his genre-bending, somewhat trippy poetic adroitness to his Irish roots, reflecting on his sense of belonging in the South West of England, the dangers of mispronouncing Ferrero Rocher, and the primordial fear you experience before visitors arrive at your home.

Edward Tripp is a Devon-based Northern Irish spoken word artist, comedian, and visual artist. A surreal ‘stand-up poet’, he weaves together comedy, spoken-word, and performance.

	PREVIOUS PRAISE

'Whenever Edward's on a comedy line-up, I know I'm in for a treat. Seek him out like buried treasure!' - Spencer Jones

'Absurd and hysterical' - Razz Magazine
Shotgunned - UK-Wide Tour Kicks Off in Exeter This Weekend

Shotgunned, a brand new play written and directed by Matt Anderson, starts its 37 night UK-wide tour this weekend at Barnfield Theatre in Exeter.

Shotgunned tells the story of Dylan and Roz, a couple who unexpectedly fall out of love. It is a poignant and humorous reflection on the messy and the beautiful in relationships and how we can come up against a dead end, no matter how much we care for each other. It also speaks about our dreams and the courage and resilience it takes to follow them. In equal parts hilarious and heart-breaking, Shotgunned is a relatable and intimate piece of theatre about the people we lose that shape who we become.

The show is brought to the stage by Kangaroo Court - a creative studio specialising in theatre and film production. Off the back of a successful three-night run in Falmouth and Truro last year, the team at Kangaroo Court have been busy building a self-funded UK-wide tour of the show. Now, as things stand, Shotgunned has 37 shows performing at theatres in Cornwall, Exeter, Bath, London, Brighton, and Edinburgh.

Secure your tickets for this spellbinding new show on Exeter Northcott's official website by searching for Shotgunned. Performance dates are Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd March, 7:30pm.

Be sure to keep up-to-date with all things Shotgunned by following @roocourt on Instagram.

‘Both actors did an amazing job… Roz and Dylan’s story is told with a healthy mix of charm and wit. You find yourself laughing out loud one moment and gripping for tissues the next… Shotgunned breaks your heart, patches it together and then breaks it again.’ FalWriting

The second half of 2022 is looking very busy and exciting for West Country comedy star and Plymouth Theatre Royal Panto Legend Andy Ford.

He is about to launch into the Autumn leg of his Back in the Saddle Live Comedy Tour around the South West, including shows in Plymouth on 18th September, Torpoint on 23rd September and his home city of Exeter on Sunday 2nd October.

Andy says, ‘ The spring leg of the tour was fantastic but coming down to Devon and Cornwall this Autumn is just such a pleasure and of course I’ll get chance to catch up with friends and family in the region’.

Following the Pandemic lockdown of 2020/21 Andy has been itching to get back on the road to work live in front of his devoted audiences in his inimitable style.

For 10 weeks during that period of restriction he even presented Live comedy shows online to lift spirits and of course to challenge himself comedically as the theatre opportunities had been removed… comedy without live laughter is daunting but it worked and over 100,000 people tuned in to see his internet broadcasts.

But now Andy Ford roars Back on to the Stage in 2022 and is definitely... 'Back in the Saddle' on his Brand New Comedy Tour!

Bursting with whatever it is he does, the West Country's daftest comedian returns with a brilliant, frenetic comedy show where the traditional rubs shoulders with the surreal and the downright ridiculous!!

Get your tickets now for the best night you'll have in flippin' ages!

Andy will be supported by special guests Singing Sensation Francesca Carly and the Fabulous Sorella Dancers! What's not to love? Join him for a Crackin' Night Out... coming to a Venue near you soon!
