Tickets are now available for the next Exeter Property Circle Event

Please join us for networking & drinks at The Quayside Distillery on 13th October 2022 between 5.30 and 7.30 pm.

We are joined by Guest Speakers James Miles & Michael Tilston from The Mortgage Quarter in Exeter.

They'll be sharing their industry insight using a fun quiz to give Exeter's property professionals an update on the property market and mortgage industry.

Quayside Distillery is also offering distillery tours to all attendees to allow people to learn all about their innovative distillation methods

Tickets are £12 and include a welcome drink of either prosecco / soft drink or a large G&T from the Quayside Distillery itself!

Exeter Property Circle is non profit and all money raised is split between our 2 chosen charities, Exeter Chiefs Foundation & Exeter City Community Trust. Both charities do amazing work for our local communities so we are really pleased to be able to support them again.

Anyone working within property in and around Exeter is welcome so please do spread the word and invite your colleagues along. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Leading proposal and tender writing company, Winning Tenders, is launching its unique Successful Tendering seminar series, with the first event being held in Exeter on Monday 19 May, 4pm – 7pm at Sandy Park Conference & Banqueting Centre.

Aimed at business owners and representatives of small and medium size companies who are interested in business growth, seminar attendees will gain an understanding of the tendering process and insight into the exciting opportunities that tendering can offer.

Inspiration and innovation at ExIST's quarterly meeting

The new Cranbrook development, the Science Park, Skypark and Intermodal Freight Terminal were all discussed at Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology's (ExIST) quarterly event, held on Wednesday 23rd January at The Flybe Training Academy.

Robert McIlwraith, Chair of ExIST said, "We were delighted with the turn out for this event, despite difficult weather conditions! The presentations were extremely inspiring and gave attendees the opportunity to consider the benefits of education and business partnerships, as well as an update on Exeter's significant development programme".

The morning consisted of three business presentations, the first from Exeter and East Devon Growth Point. Andy Wood delivered an interesting presentation on the new Cranbrook development as well as the Science Park, Skypark and Intermodal Freight Terminal.

Alcoa Howmet and Honiton Community College also presented at the event, delivering a thought-provoking presentation on the casting operation of this integrated aluminium company. The Exeter branch are leading producers of complex investment-cast turbine airfoils.

Two students from Honiton Community College then gave a presentation on their work with Alcoa Howmet on how this empowered them to develop solutions, industry knowledge and expertise.

Finally, representatives from Bloodhound SSC spoke about their leading edge project of a jet and rocket powered car designed to go 1,000 mph. This car is designed to smash the World Land Speed Record and, at the same time, inspire the next generation of Scientists and Engineers. This project draws support and expertise from the public and private sectors companies in aerospace, automotive and manufacturing, from individuals through to global brands, including, local companies BOTT, Supacat, Goodridge and the Met Office.

The presentations were followed by a facilitated networking session and a touring of Flybe's excellent facilities, including the Dash-8 Q400 and E-Jet Simulators. To watch the presentations from the event, visit www.existexeter.co.uk
