Launch hires sales director to continue growth in 2022

Exeter-based paid media agency, Launch, has appointed Stephanie Iles as Sales Director. Steph joins the agency from SearchStar (now Adapt Worldwide), where she worked for over 5 years as a New Business Director.

Steph will help Launch to reach new prospects, aligning the agency’s services with individual business goals, and being a first port of call for brands to learn more about how Launch can help them achieve their aims with clever digital strategy and paid media.

Steph says: “I’ve worked and travelled across the world during my career, but my heart is in the South West. I’m very excited to have joined Launch, where the team has the same passion as I do for championing businesses across the region. Launch is filling a gap in the market for a reputable agency that’s at the very top of its game. We’re curious, ambitious and personable and we understand how to marry South West individuality with success online.”

Launch recognised as a top 10 UK paid search agency by The Drum Recommends

Exeter-based paid media agency, Launch, has been named as one of the top ten agencies in the UK by The Drum Recommends, a global service to help companies choose which agency to work with based on their client reviews and ratings.

Launch is the only agency in Devon and Cornwall to be named in the prestigious list and follows huge advances for the business over the past 12 months, driven by the boom in digital during the pandemic.

Since the start of the year, the agency has doubled its revenue to exceed £1m and employed a further 10 people to grow the agency’s total headcount to 20. Ambitious plans for 2022 have the company on track to grow a further 50 per cent to exceed £1.5m.

Exeter Christmas Hamper Project urgently seeks premises for its launch

An Exeter Church which is looking to pack hundreds of Christmas Hampers for people in need across the city, is urgently seeking a premises to make the project a reality.

Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street, Exeter, has, for the last 6 years, put together Hampers packed full of food to give out to individuals, families and couples across Exeter. Those recipients have often included those who are struggling with finances at the moment, particularly during the festive time when there can be many strains on bank accounts, causing much stress, anxiety and worry.

The project involves the church reaching out to primary and secondary schools, charities, GPs Surgeries, and organisations such as Julian House who work with the homeless across the city, to help and support people to get through the Christmas period, where otherwise they might be struggling.

Each year, the church receives many letters and emails of feedback to say Christmas would have not been possible without this donation, and that recipients felt loved and cared for with the present of the hamper.

With the reduction of Universal Credit and ongoing effects of Covid-19, the church is looking to rise to the need in the city and build on the 300 or so hamper target this year, with the aim of putting together anywhere up to 1000 hampers to give out to people across Exeter.

However, currently they do not have a premises to pack the hampers which is currently putting the whole project in jeopardy.

The church is in serious need of an empty building or shop, where volunteers can pack the hampers and also store the food goods. The project is taking place over December and are looking for the use of a facility during this time.

Previously, the church has used their building, however with other community-based activities throughout the week, and with the increased number of hampers being put together, over a longer period of time, this is not feasible this year.

Already, hundreds of hampers have been allocated to people in need across the city, now the church are appealing to building or shop owners, to see if there is an opportunity their premises can be used for the project this year. Mark Pugh, Lead Pastor of Rediscover Church, said, “each year, we’re able to support so many people through the festive season with these hampers, and with an ever-increasing need out there, we’re looking to send out more. But a facility to pack them is desperately needed, we’re calling on anyone in the city, who feels stirred by the need, to get in touch with us and we’d be honoured and delighted to chat further.”

The church is also reaching out to see if anyone in the local community would like to help pack or distribute the hampers. There is no experience necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in with a team, helping to make a difference to many hundreds of people this year. Opening a Door to the South West

White Wall Yellow Door, an initiative which provides museums, galleries and theatres with resources for families, is delighted to announce its plans to launch in Exeter.

Sophy Rickett, Director of White Wall Yellow Door (WWYD) says: “Over the last four years, we have firmly established ourselves in London and have developed a diverse portfolio of projects with clients including Trinity Buoy Wharf, the Petrie Museum of Egyptology and the Freud Museum. We have had some fantastic feedback and now feel we are in a great position to expand outside London.”

“With the pandemic in progress, we understand that this is a very uncertain and turbulent time for arts and culture. Museums and cultural establishments will be looking at how to draw family audiences back in a safe and fun way. Our resources for kids and families have proven to be an extremely cost-effective way of empowering and inspiring small family visitor groups to engage imaginatively and meaningfully with the exhibits on display.”

Based in Exeter, Communications and Marketing professional Lucy Sainsbury, will be heading up operations in the area. Exeter Chiefs kit launch

Exeter Chiefs will reveal their new cup and home kit for the 2019/20 season at a special launch event in July. After the success of last year's event, Rob Baxter and members of the Exeter Chiefs squad will return to Exeter Quay on Saturday, 20th July.

As well as getting the chance to see the first glimpse of the club’s new kits, supporters will be able to get up close and personal with all the players during the fun-filled, family event in the heart of the city centre.

The event will begin at 3.00pm when supporters will be able to get their hands on the new kits from the mobile Trading Post, whilst the club’s Community team will also in attendance with a range of activities.
